TaxOrch disclaimer: decision support, not advice
The limits of what any answer here can be relied on for.
In force
This document applies to your use of TaxOrch from the effective date shown. It describes what the product and the business actually do.
Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence are not affected. When this document changes, the change and its date are recorded in the version history below.
If a clause is wrong, unclear, or missing something your jurisdiction requires, say so and it will be looked at: privacy@taxorch.com.
What this product is
TaxOrch provides decision support, not professional tax advice. It produces research, computation and draft documents that a qualified person reviews and is accountable for. It does not replace an accountant, a tax adviser or a lawyer, and nothing it produces is a professional opinion.
If you are not in a position to review what it produces, you are not in a position to rely on it.
Where its answers are exact
Results are exact only inside declared coverage. Coverage is published per jurisdiction on the coverage page, including what each one cannot do, and it is derived from the assets that actually exist rather than asserted.
Outside declared coverage the product does not estimate. It abstains, states why, and either asks for a specific missing fact or routes the question to a person. An abstention is the system working, not failing.
Beta jurisdictions require professional review
A jurisdiction marked beta has a deterministic calculator and a parameter dataset, and has not met the bar for a full coverage claim. Output for a beta jurisdiction is a starting point for a professional, not a result to act on. Every figure produced for a beta jurisdiction must be reviewed by a qualified professional before it is used or filed.
Where a jurisdiction is listed as research-only or data-only, there is no calculator behind it at all, and the product will say so rather than computing something.
What it does not do
TaxOrch does not file returns and does not execute payments. It produces draft packages, explicitly marked as not filed. There is no code path that submits anything to a tax authority and none that moves money.
It also does not post to your books on its own. A journal entry requires an accountant to approve it, and the approval is recorded.
These are not features that are coming. They are the line between a system that supports a decision and one that can be wrong on your behalf without anybody noticing until it has been.
Figures, citations and tax years
Every number comes from a deterministic calculator working from a versioned parameter dataset. No figure is produced by a language model.
Every legal claim cites a specific locator in a real official document, and an answer with an unsupported material claim is blocked rather than shipped with a caveat.
Answers are pinned to a corpus release, a model version and a calculator version, so an answer given today can be reproduced in the same form in two years — which is when somebody usually needs to know what the position was based on.
Your responsibility
Review every output before you file or act on it. Check that the tax year, the jurisdiction and the facts the answer relied on are the ones you meant. Where the product asks a clarifying question, the answer it gives afterwards depends on how you answered it.
Where the product declines to answer, that is information. Overriding it with an assumption is a decision you are making, not one it made for you.
No warranty of outcome
Tax law changes, official sources are revised, and a position that was correct on the date it was produced can stop being correct. Nothing here warrants a particular outcome with any tax authority, and nothing here is a guarantee against assessment, penalty or interest.
Questions about this disclaimer
Write to contact@taxorch.com. If your question is about how a specific answer was produced, quote the answer's reproducibility reference — it identifies the corpus release, the model version and the calculator version behind it.

How changes will be communicated
- Every version carries the date it took effect, and every earlier version stays reachable at the same address.
- A change is summarised in the terms a reader would care about. “Updated our terms” tells nobody anything and is why change notices go unread.
- A material change is notified to account holders in advance, not announced by a banner after the fact.
- Continuing to use the product is not treated as agreement to a change that was never sent.
