Compare

Three approaches, and where each one wins.

Including the cases where the answer is not this product. A comparison page where the alternative never wins is an advertisement, and everybody reading it knows.

A general assistant will answer any tax question confidently. This one computes with a calculator, cites a real section, and refuses when it cannot.

    Traditional tax software

Tax software is accurate and rigid: one country, no explanation. This computes the same figures and shows the authority and the working behind each one.

    Building it in-house

Sometimes you should build it. What an estimate misses is not the rates — it is provenance, the point-in-time resolver, and the evaluation harness.

Why no product names

We will not tell you about a product we cannot cite.

A statement about a named competitor needs a public, citable source rendered on the page. Without one it is hearsay published as fact — and it ages into a lie the moment they ship a release that fixes it.

So these compare approaches, where the claims are about a category rather than a company and remain true as products change. If a page here ever names a vendor, it will carry sources with the date each was checked — that is enforced in the content module rather than left to editorial discipline.

What the build enforces

A comparison naming a vendor with no sources fails to build. So does one whose sources have no public URL, one that never says who the alternative suits, and one that does not say when TaxOrch is the wrong choice.

Those four rules are the ones a comparison page quietly breaks when somebody is editing it for length.

Check the working

Everything here is meant to be verifiable.

The coverage matrix, the evaluation results and the answer contract are all published, including what they do not cover. Read them before you talk to anybody.
